Hey Guys!
Not much to report this week. It was pretty slow, but I am pretty
positive that it will quickly pick up! We had a Zone Conference last
week and that was a great experience. Sometimes I have a bad attitude going into meetings, but I always end up learning something really amazing and it always turns out to be an awesome meeting!
With my brother ending his mission at the end of this month and my companion also finishing up at the end of the month I realize just how fast missions go! I am grateful for the time that I have had to serve the Lord and for the time that I have left! Serving with a companion who is on his last transfer can be an interesting experience; those of you who have served with a companion who is finishing up their mission can testify, it almost makes you feel like you are also on your last transfer. However it makes you realize how precious your time is because I actually have a pretty long amount of time left, and for that I am very grateful!
I'm sorry I don't have much to write about this week, but I am doing well and Durres is great! I will have more pictures to send next week! I hope you are all doing well and that you are happy and healthy! I love you guys and I know the Church is true! I know that the Savior loves you and wants the best for you! I hope that you guys have an awesome week and that you can do an act of service this week, service is a great way to come close to the Savior and be happier!
Love,
Elder Simons

Hey Everyone!
So this last week wasn't super crazy or anything! We had one investigator leave town because of personal problems, but we are gonna keep in contact with him via email to make sure he can find the church wherever he might end up! We were finally able to meet up with our other investigator who has been out of town and in work! He is doing awesome!
During our lesson with him this last week, we taught the Word of Wisdom which we were surprised to learn was living it already! It was a testimony builder to us that the Lord does prepare people in His own ways! He is praying for a baptismal date and we are so excited for him! He was the one who was an investigator a few years ago and now he is an investigator again!
Today we went fishing for Pday, and let's just say that fishing isn't for me haha. I guess I haven't learned patience very well. Maybe that's what I should work on next..haha. My companion now has less than a month left! It is pretty crazy. In other news it's starting to get hotter and hotter! and it's really humid here, so we are in for quite a treat haha. It's only gonna get hotter and hotter until the end of August. The ward here is doing really well and we are excited for the missionary work.

Hey Everyone!
So last week was super lame, I mean my blogpost last week! But this week I have some time! :) Granted I don't have a lot to talk about! but it should be longer than last week's! So this last week wasn't Super special. We did however find a couple new investigators who will hopefully be able to continue meeting with us and learn more about the Gospel!
One awesome thing from this week was a training that we had yesterday! It wasn't just for missionaries but we were invited, and it was a great experience! I learned several new things about the Book of Mormon, which is what the training was about! It was a definite testimony builder for me that the Book of Mormon is true! It really was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God! It contains the word of Prophets from an Ancient people who moved from Jerusalem to the American continent. It testifies of Jesus Christ and provides us with the fullness of the Gospel! It is proof that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know these things for myself, through study and prayer and have received an answer through the power of the Holy Ghost!
On a different note, last week we were eating at a members house, no big deal right? so we go to the dinner table and they serve us dinner. And whats on the plate is a little weird looking...and I had a
suspicion of what it was. However of course because it looked
suspicious, no one would tell me what it was..til after I ate it haha.
Well long story short, it was animal intestines....needless to say I
couldn't finish it! I don't what animal, only that it wasn't a
pleasant experience for me... But it was gonna happen eventually I
guess haha.
Well that might be it for this week. I love you and miss you! Have a great week!!

Hey Everyone!
This week was good! Nothing super special happened. Except one of our investigators just quit smoking! Hopefully he can keep it up! He has accepted a baptismal date for the 30th of May, which is awesome!! He came to church on Sunday, stayed all 3 hours and loved it! Our ward is awesome too, he said he felt very welcome in the ward and like it was a family! That was probably the coolest thing from this week! He is awesome and we are super excited for him! He really excited!
Sorry it's super short this week, but I didn't have a lot of time.
Next week I will write a better one!

Hey Everyone!
I guess first thing is first Happy Mothers Day!! A day late but what do ya do? I hope it was a great day for all of those you are a
mother! I had an awesome time skyping my parents yesterday! It was really good to talk to them!
This last week was good! We were able to meet with our investigators a little more, although one of them was still out of town. We should be able to meet with all of our investigators this week though! I am really excited for them and their progression! They are all awesome and I know they feel the Spirit during our lessons! The Spirit will always testify of true doctrine and thanks to the Restoration of the Gospel we have all the true doctrines restored! I know that this Church is true and that Jesus Christ is leading it. This is His work and we are His servants in finding those people that are ready to hear the Restored Gospel! There is no greater source of happiness than through Jesus Christ and His Atonement! I speak from experience! I know that we can be cleansed through His sacrifice and that we can return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father. We just need to follow His example and the promptings of the Holy Ghost!
I love you all and hope that you had a great week and wish that you
have an even greater week this week! I hope that you feel the love of our Savior and that you can grow closer to Him everyday! I know that this Gospel is true! If you don't know it then read the Book of Mormon and pray about it! We are promised answers to our prayers. We are also promise by a Prophet in the Book of Mormon that "through the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things". This is a life changing Gospel and nothing will bring you more peace and joy!

Hey!!
Sorry that I didn't send a post last week. I just procrastinated...I don't have an excuse haha just laziness. Although to be honest there isn't much to report this week. Last Saturday, not the one that just passed but the one before, my companion hurt his toe playing Soccer. We thought it was broken, but after sending the x-rays to the Missionary doctor in Germany we got the call that it wasn't. We still took it really easy this week so that it could get better, cause it was pretty swollen! But he is a lot better now and this week should be pretty much back to normal. Although we do have a combined Zone Conference so I guess we'll be going to Tirana sometime this week!
Our investigators are doing well although most of them were out of town or too busy to meet this last week, so it's been tough to really know how they are doing. However we have been able to contact them almost daily. They are doing well from what we can tell. 2 of them are on baptismal dates and are excited! And we are obviously really excited for them as well!
Durres is an awesome city, I am really enjoying serving here! The ward is awesome and I am having an awesome time meeting and working with all the members here! It is a strong ward that really wants to help with the furthering of the Lord's work! We are so blessed here!
I have loved serving in all my areas and Durres is no exception! And there is an ice cream place here that is absolutely amazing!! Excluding Italy, it may be the best ice cream I've had in Europe!!
It's so good!!
Well I'm sorry that I don't have much to talk about. But I'll tell you guys what my favorite food is here! As far as traditional Albanian food goes I am a huge fan of Speca të Mbushur, which
translates to Stuffed peppers! They stuff peppers with rice and meet and stuff and it is SSOOO good! I'm gonna have to learn how to make it before I come home! It is amazing! and one of my favorite deserts here a lot of you may now. I don't think it's Albanian originally but here it's called Tres Leche, and here is a picture of it! It's like milk soaked cake with Caramel stuff on top, I don't really know, but it's good!!
